It’s been three months, six days and I don’t know how many minutes since our last post, and twelve more days from that date since we announced this blog was no longer active, via Twitter.
I know it’s been a while, but we still have over 1,700 followers, and I still think we should have given you guys a proper goodbye note. So here is my attempt at it. (Hi again, I’m mod2 by the way.)
Things started to slow down once my last (not this one, that is ending now) semester ended, and I stopped having time to draw for the blog because of work deadlines and then exams because I missed those deadlines (and I’m doing the same thing again, why can’t I work properly?), and once I had free time again, things simply…didn’t feel the same. I suppose over the time we couldn’t be here we lost the habit of working for it and, I suppose, the fact fandomstuck and several other kind of ask-fandom blogs that started showing up made it seem…unnecessary for us to continue it. And, really, I’m not trying to say that once we weren’t so unique or the one and only shiny thing around there (come on, please), but we did start the blog on the uniqueness of the idea behind it, it was something we hadn’t seen before and were proud to come up with it, proud to do it and develop it, and to see it grow and get so many people interested in it. And we saw others do blogs around the same concept for some fandoms, and we just thought that our job here was done.
The followers we still have, the ones who left, you. You were all the best company we could have while making this blog, and I cannot tell you how amazing it was to get your asks, and to get messages to us, and to see you contribute with ideas and drawings, and making this grow with us. How fun our livestreams were because you were there with me.
Thank you for everything.
(Also PS, we’re going to re-open our askbox, but please don’t ask for more stuff for the blog itself, we closed it because we got a severe depression every time we got one of those after closing the blog)
(also, mod1 read and tagged and agreed with everything I just wrote and she misses this blog too)
